Shoot in flat, even daylight
Overcast days or the hour after sunrise give the AI a clean read on your space — hard shadows and strong backlighting are the most common cause of a muddled result.
Get the whole space in frame
Step back far enough to show the full width of the area you want redesigned. A tightly cropped photo forces the AI to guess at what's just outside the frame.
Pick a style before you tweak the prompt
Start from a style available for your selected space, then use the notes field for anything specific — it anchors the AI far better than a free-text description alone.
Match the style to what you'll actually keep
If your patio or fence isn't moving, mention that in the notes — the AI will work planting and materials around the fixed elements instead of replacing them.
